STARBASE Rees is adjacent to Eastern Oregon’s largest city, Hermiston, and proudly serves students of the Oregon High Desert throughout Umatilla and Morrow counties and beyond.
STARBASE Rees is Oregon’s newest site, and is proud to welcome students to our freshly renovated building on our host National Guard Base.
Formerly known as Umatilla Munitions Depot and Umatilla Chemical Depot, the site has around a thousand “igloos” that used to house 500lb bombs. Many of these igloos, along with the STARBASE schoolhouse, are visible from Interstate 84.
STARBASE Rees would love to be the spark that sends kids down the path towards a lucrative career in the realm of STEM.
